Klasse 6/1:
On the 24th March class 6/1 did community service. We went on a walk around our school and the houses near our school and collected rubbish. We did this to clean up the dirt. So that it looks a little more clean in our city.
Klasse 6/2:
A different lesson
On the 19th March (in the first two lessons) class 6/2 and Ms. Voigtländer went out to collect trash in our city. We walked around near school and packed up everything we found into our trash bags. We found paper, tissues, plastic bottles, coffee capsules and cups, Burger Kind bags, empty alcohol bottles, different kind of bags, cigarettes, tights, a broken umbrella, lighters and more. In the end, we had 19 full bags of rubbish. Every group filled one to three bags.
We had this idea because Bad Salzungen is kind of dirty and we learned from the students in our English books how nice it is to help others and nature.
We all think this was fun and we were really proud in the end that we did something good for our area. Maybe we can do that again sometime!
Klasse 6/3:
Class 6/3 and Ms. Voigtländer collected rubbish with litter pickers on the 27th March (in the first two lessons). We did this project outside in the area around our school. We found plastic, shoes, fireworks, shards, gloves, cigarettes, broken bottles, empty coffee cups, a lighter, a vape, an ash tray, an old action toy, newspapers, batteries and more. We filled twelve trash bags with this.
We did that project because our city isn’t clean and we wanted to make that better. We also wanted to help the environment. We learned this from a similar story that was mentioned in our English books.
We liked this project very much and we would do it again! But next time we would wear wellies because the grass was really wet. Maybe we can do it in summer.
Klasse 6/4:
Class 6/4 cleans up
Class 6/4 and Mrs. Apsel collected trash in the area around the school’s gym on Tuesday, the 24th March (in the last two lessons). We walked around and found empty and full bottles of alcohol, spray cans, plastic, a dead rat ☹, lighters, two knives, many empty packs of cigarettes, a metal cylinder, a witch hat, a shoe with a caterpillar on it, a sign, a piece of a radio, a Hot Wheels car, pills, diapers, cat food, pieces of paper, human food and more.
In our English books the Brighton kids cleaned the beach and we think that is a really good idea. So we decided to do that too to help the nature and the environment. People and animals could get hurt by the trash.
Most of us really liked that project because we were outside and helped the nature. We would definitely do that again! As you can see on our photos, we had a lot of fun. 😊
